Our purpose
AnnuityTown does not rank a carrier as "best" for everyone. Carrier strength and product fit must be evaluated in context, and product availability varies by state.
What we examine
Financial strength
We look for current ratings from established rating agencies and explain that ratings are opinions, can change, and are not guarantees.
Contract clarity
We focus on surrender periods, withdrawal provisions, interest-crediting terms, optional rider costs, income definitions, and what the insurer can change after issue.
Product role
A strong carrier does not make every contract suitable for every goal. We explain the job a product is designed to do and the trade-offs involved.
Service and administration
Where reliable evidence is available, we note service channels, digital access, and the process for handling contract questions. We do not invent service scores or reproduce unverified reviews.
What we do not do
We do not publish paid rankings disguised as independent analysis, quote rates without a freshness date, imply that an insurer's rating is government protection, or use a carrier logo as an endorsement.
Before any carrier-specific page is published, its facts, disclosures, source dates, and state availability should be reviewed by the licensed partner's compliance team.
